    Journey thinks they sound nice
Rylen says "I think cars sound much worse than the tui"
I think they sound awesome - George
Kenny "that was so awesome I would like them to wake me up in the morning"
We think the man in the paper is "mean and horrible and cruel because the Tuis just make beautiful sounds"
William says "if HE was a Tui how would he feel if someone said that about him"

  4. Adam says "I disagree because Tuis don't harm you. They are a native bird and they make a peaceful noise but not everyone likes it. They can copy a lot of noises, that is why they are cheeky."

  5. Sebastian says "I think that Tuis should stay Rob. They did no harm to you. They are like a little alarm clock and they make beautiful sounds and songs. You shouldn't shoo them away. Cut down your flax bush. They make cool sounds and their tuft looks good on them."

  6. Jayla says "I think that the Tui should stay because they are like a musical clock but much more nicer."

  7. Broden says "I think Tuis should stay because when you wake up you hear them singing beautifully. They do no harm. We are lucky to have them."

  8. Theo says "The Tui makes a beautiful sound and they have a white tuft. It is native to New Zealand and they sing in your garden. We should attract more by planting more Kowhai. If people don't like Tuis then they should shut their window."

  9. Josh C says "I think Tuis should stay because they are native to New Zealand. Their feathers are so wonderful and it's lovely to listen to them sing in the morning. Tuis are cool and I'm happy to have them here."

  15. Tui's are amazing I would like to wake up and dance to them. The man in the paper yesterday was insane they are beautiful I really like the wings and the white tuft under their neck I fell really lucky to have them in New Zealand . From Max in Room 20.

Rob are insane ? Tui's are very important to New Zealand because they are native to us. I think you are crazy I hope your mum is furious with you because New Zealand doesn't have many tui's at all! You're just insane grrrr! I'm furious with you.

  16. Corbin says "I think Tuis should stay because when you wake up all you can hear is their wonderful sound that they make. You can see what nice feathers they have and you can feel that it is going to be a nice day."

  17. Sheree says "I think that getting rid of the Tui would be ridiculous, not only are they native birds but they're also very beautiful to listen to. In the summer mornings I always wake up listening to them. They're kind of my alarm clock.

The colours on them are amazing! The Tui can appear black to the observer because the feathers seem to have some form of coating that is able to defeat both eye and camera. It is said that the Tui has no black feather on it's body.

The fact that people in New Zealand think that Tui should go and pack their bags and buzz off is insane! If you don't like native birds then you're not a true New Zealander."

  18. Kensie says "I think Tuis should stay in our local towns and cities. They have the most magnificent feathers and their white ball under their neck really stands out.

At my old house I used to have a Kowhai tree right outside my window. I used to wake up to this peaceful sound every morning. Tuis deserve to be sitting on a tree right by your window.

Rob should get lost and go find somewhere else to live because these beautiful birds deserve to stay! They are very special to New Zealand and we are lucky to have them."

  19. Sehaj says "The Tuis have lovely songs. They have done no harm to anyone. They are very rare as well as being New Zealand's native bird. Tuis should stay in towns and cities, even though people don't like their sounds in the mornings they have to deal with it by closing the window or putting in earplugs.

I would have this native bird in town rather than pigeons and dirty mice. Rob should move or wake up earlier. I want Tuis to stay in towns, cities, gardens and parks. Tuis should stay."

  20. Anna says "I think that Tui should be free to roam the city. Why shoo them away, they are native animals, instead of scaring them away, bring them BACK! All their lovely sounds, how could anyone not like them. Rob, if you don't like them, don't try to scare them away, pack your bags and go away instead."

  21. Anthony says "I like waking up in the morning because I hear the Tui in the Kowhai tree making the noise Tuis always make. I like hearing Tui when walking back from school, it is beautiful. Sometimes I walk into poles because I get distracted."

  22. Luke says "The Tui has a nice and peaceful sound. Rob you're just a bit arrogant. Tuis are wonderful creatures (Rob you just don't like the sound) if you see their real personality I bet you will love Tuis. They're natives. You need to respect Tuis."

  23. Andrew says "Personally I think that Tuis should stay because it is one of our native birds and it would be a shame to let them go because of one person who doesn't like the sound. He could then encourage other people not to like the sound and that is bad. Tuis are our native bird and they should stay.

Tuis have a beautiful sound and wake me up at the right time in the morning. They're saving me money by waking me up and I don't need to buy an alarm clock. Thanks to Tuis."

  24. Luke H says "I think Tuis should stay in New Zealand because they have a peaceful noise. Tuis are fun to watch."

  25. Myra says "I completely disagree with Rob! Why? Because Tui make a beautiful sound. The gorgeous, elegant colours on them make the Tui unique to other birds. I like waking up every morning to the soft, sweet Tui sounds. We are so lucky to have such a wonderful bird in New Zealand.

My advice to Rob. Rob, if you don't like the Tui then get lost. Move into a suburb where there are no Tui. Don't let Tui pack their bags and move. You do."

  26. Pippa says "I think Tui should be allowed to fly wherever they like because it is a privilege for you to have Tui around your place. They are really the only native bird that live in the city and towns. So if you want the Tui gone, go live in Australia Rob. Another thing is think how the Tui helps you during the day. It gives you a stunning wake up call and an amazing sight of black, green and white. So that is why I think Tui should stay."

  27. Grace says "Due to the thought of losing the Tui I'm raving about how calming the voice of the Tui is. Although it may look green or white, maybe even black, I think that the Tui has a bit of a golden throat. Often I hear the Tui singing that beautiful tune and think how lucky we are to have them. In addition I think the Tui should stay and if you have a problem with that, you move, you shoo into the bush land, you scram and leave the Tui alone!!!"
